The Skipjacks Hockey Program is proud to announce that Premier Defenseman, Gabe Gauer, has committed to Lawrence University  (NCHA).

Gauer, a Plymouth, MN native, was an outstanding player and leader for the whole program. The Captain of the Skipjacks was considered an iron man, appearing in all 46 of the Skipjacks contests and accumulating 9 G, 13 A, for 22 points.

"Gabe is a special player. When I heard he was coming back to the Jacks, I knew that our locker room was going to be in a great place and our practices were going to be full of energy. That's what Gabe does for your team" said Head Coach Lennie Childs. Gauer played for the Skipjacks U18 team for the 2015-16 season and decided to end his junior career with the same program.

The 6'3 200lb defensive Juggernaut chose Lawrence University because of their strong academic excellence and the culture put forth by their hockey program, led by coach Mike  Szkodzinski.

The Skipjacks Hockey Club looks forward to announcing more upcoming player placements in the coming weeks.
